Not surprised to see Jarret Stoll on waivers today. Watched him through the West last week. Still competing, but with waning skill base.

Center Jarret Stoll has been placed on waivers by the New York Rangers. Stoll's last appearance in the Rangers' lineup was against the Edmonton Oilers on December 11th. The bottom six forward has been without a point since scoring a goal on November 3rd against the Washington Capitals- a span of 18 games.
It's no secret that the former Los Angeles King has not worked out for the Rangers. Stoll signed with the Rangers this past offseason on a one-year, $800,000 contract that will make him an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2015-16 season. A faceoff specialist, Stoll has been guilty of appallingly bad possession numbers and far too many minor penalties given the 13:46 TOI/G he sees in the Rangers' lineup.
The Rangers next game is Tuesday, at home, against the Edmonton Oilers who just bested the Rangers in a 7-5 loss on Friday that can only be described as a debacle.
