Gilmour is coming off a nine-goal, 24 point performance in 34 games this year. Adam has a little more information on the signing.
This is a REALLY GOOD pickup by the Rangers. Obviously not Vesey territory, but he's a young dman who can skate. https://t.co/QF0muKNb68

Also, you can bet the Hockey East connections with Brendon Clarke, Chris Drury, and ESPECIALLY Steve Greeley paid off here.

The Rangers have a dearth of high-end prospects in the system, and while Gilmour won’t exactly change that, adding young talent isn’t a bad thing. I look at these players like lottery tickets in that the more you have the more chances you have to find a diamond in the rough. More than anything, though, the Hartford Wolf Pack has been a disaster and this should help that.
I get it, this isn’t the news you wanted to hear while we’re all waiting on Jimmy Vesey but this is still some good news and some good work. Hopefully this is just the first of two big NCAA free agent signings.
Thoughts?
