2018 NHL Entry Draft Day Two Open Thread
Today is Day Two of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft covering rounds 2 through 7 starting at 11am. Last night the Rangers had three 1st round picks selecting Vitaly Kravtsov at #9 overall. After trading 28th and 49th overall to the Ottawa Senators for 22nd overall, the Rangers nabbed defenseman K’Andre Miller. The Rangers then rounded out their 1st round by selecting Swedish defenseman and bane of autocorrect for Rangers fans everywhere Nils Lundkvist at 28 overall.
New York is scheduled to select six times over the next five rounds (39, 70, 88, 101, and 163) and there is still some very good talent available for the Rangers in the early part of the 2nd round. Keep Adam’s 1st round master list handy as the 2nd round begins and keep in mind the ever present spector of trades that can happen all throughout the day. We’ll have all the coverage of everything the Rangers do or don’t do here at Blueshirt Banter throughout the draft.
Enjoy the madness folks!
