The New York Rangers locked up Chris Kreider by agreeing to terms on a seven-year extension on Monday, but they are going to be without him for the immediate future.

The loss of Kreider comes at a time in which the Rangers are making a playoff push, and it will be interesting to see how they replace him in the lineup. Will the Rangers call up Vitali Kravtsov? Could they keep Filip Chytil on wing and put Greg McKegg back in the lineup?
