The New York Rangers will be without Adam Fox for the foreseeable future after he suffered an injury during Tuesday's victory against the New York Islanders, and Matthew Robertson has been recalled to take his spot on the roster with a good chance of make his long awaited NHL debut.
Fox going on IR (upper body) but expected to be back before end of season, per source. This is the sixth time Robertson has been recalled over last two seasons. Rangers' 2019, 49th-overall has never played an NHL game. https://t.co/drjVThIhz3

Fox landed awkwardly, and now the Rangers will be without him for an undetermined amount of time.

Fox has appeared in 58 games this season averaging 23:14 a night, and is the Rangers' second leading point producer with a line of 5-43-48 which also put him a tie for fourth-most in the NHL among defensemen.
He leads Rangers skaters with a 55.51 xGF%, a 56.29 GF%, and 55.52 CF%. Among defensemen he's been on the ice for the fewest goals against per 60 minutes (2.38), and leads defenders in goals generated per 60 minutes (3.06).
K'Andre Miller's status is also unknown for the time being, and it is possible that Zac Jones and the recently recalled Robertson will draw into the lineup. Robertson has appeared in 47 games with the Wolf Pack this season and has a line of 1-17-18.
If Peter Laviolette wants to focus on continuity, there's a strong chance the new top pair going forward will be Urho Vaakanainen and Braden Schneider, although Schneider and Jones have logged minutes together in the past with some success.
In any case, things have gotten very interesting on defense, and the Rangers will have to change things up both at even strength and on the power play with Fox sidelined.
