NHL Mock Draft 2020: New York Rangers Select Alexis Lafreniere With No. 1 Pick

With the 2020 NHL Draft just days away, SB Nation is beginning its annual mock draft. The Rangers, having won the lottery back in August, will be selecting first overall.
On their behalf, we are selecting Alexis Lafreniere, a left wing, from Rimouski Oceanic out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
We’re not going to reinvent the wheel here. Lafreniere is the obvious, if not only, pick to make here. It’s the pick the Rangers will undoubtedly be making themselves on October 6th.
