Antti Raanta has awesome matching helmets
NYPD and FDNY represent!
Antti Raanta is not from New York. That much is pretty obvious; he’s very much Finnish.
But as he’s getting set to spend his second season with the Rangers - with another to come after - he’s made it clear New York is home.
How? With his goalie masks, of course: two tributes to the NYPD and FDNY.
The NYPD mask isn’t that new; the FDNY only just came into existence as a great complement to it.
Thanks to @artofdave for another masterpiece!! Its great to have true heros of New York in my mask. @FDNY hope u guys like it. pic.twitter.com/5ytd8Lr1ZO

This is seriously something really cool to do on Raanta’s part, and it didn’t go unnoticed by the FDNY.
TY for supporting first responders! We'll keep protecting NYC, you just focus on protecting the @NYRangers net #NYR https://t.co/5pTjuq1fFM

Well said! Here’s to New York’s first responders - and backup goalie - all doing just that.
