Banter Cartoons: September 2014
Training camp! Tears! Ninja prostitutes! Several jokes at Joe's expense! Okay, I lied about the ninja prostitutes.
A lot of you were subscribers to the now defunct Blueshirts Monthly newsletter that Joe, Tony, and I worked on for ten months during the 2013-14 NHL season. I was sad to see the newsletter come to an end, but I knew that it was the right thing to do for everyone involved. However, I also knew that I wanted to keep doing some of the stuff that I was doing every month for the newsletter and bring it over to the Banter. Especially the cartoons. You guys seemed to like them and I enjoyed doing them. So, here we are sugar. Just you, me, and my mind. Let's turn the lights down a little bit and light some jasmine candles up. What's that you say? You prefer Ocean's Kiss? I have some Ocean's Kiss candles for you, baby girl. Once you hear the crack of this match you better get ready for a journey to the center of your quivering soul.
Anyways, I'm hoping to give you guys a batch of one or two comics every month but we'll see how things go. Maybe I lose my hands in a wood chipper or maybe no one likes them or maybe I get busy, who knows? So, without further adieu, here is our September installment of Banter Cartoons (... I really need to find a better name).
"Malone has really impressed in informal skates."

"Everybody hurts, sometimes."

And, what the hell, here is an oldie from Blueshirts Monthly as a little celebration of the regular season getting back underway...
"It's a wall!"
I hope that you all had a great summer and that you're as excited for hockey as I am. I can't wait for the games that matter and I can't wait to enjoy all the hockey with you guys here at the best alliterative hockey blog in the tri-state area.
Let's go Rangers!
