Blueshirt Banter Year In Review: Thanks For An Awesome 2014

Thank you for your support.

I know technically we're supposed to give thanks on THANKSgiving, but I've always used New Year's Eve to look back on the year that's ending and reflect.

This website has been a big part of my life for a very long time. In fact, my honeymoon earlier in the month was the first time I've been away from Blueshirt Banter for more than a couple of days in about five years or so. That's a long time and lot of commitment.

And that's not just from me. The entire staff does so much daily work that you do and do not see every day to make this place a destination for Rangers fans across the entire globe. In 2014 we had people visit from 194 different countries, and it amounted to easily our best year-long numbers in page views, visits and unique visitors.

In case you're curious, top visits by country (we'll do the top 20 to keep it reasonable):

1) USA

2) Canada

3) Norway (Thanks, Zuccarello!)

4) United Kingdom (Probably all Alex Nunn)

5) Sweden

6) Germany

7) Australia

8) France

9) Czech Republic

10) Switzerland

11) Israel

12) Brazil

13) Italy

14) South Korea

15) Finland

16) Spain

17) Russia (They might be boycotting our site because the Rangers are taking Pavel Buchnevich away. It's too soon to tell.)

18) Taiwan

19) Netherlands

20) Croatia

The very last country was Turkmenistan which had exactly one visitor.

Now for the sappy aspect of this:

You guys are the reason behind this. As much as I wouldn't be here without the support of the staff that works so hard to make this place churn smoothly, none of us would be able to do this without your support and constant readership. I know we have a plethora of regular members, more people lurking in the weeds -- jump in, we don't bite often -- and even more who read the site every day but haven't joined yet.

To every person who has come to this site and continues to come to this site thank you. You guys make this fun and it you make it worth my time and the time of the staff.

No one on this staff does this as their regular job. We do this for the love of the game and the love of being able to interact with Rangers fans from across the globe. We do this because this place has become one of the best communities on the Internet -- hell, people have even started to meet in real life -- and because if we're going to suffer we might as well do it together, right?

So from all of us to all of you: this place wouldn't be here without you. Thanks for all your support in 2014 and we can't wait to make 2015 even better.
