The Rangers are getting healthy and back to normal, but Tanner Glass won't make the trip to Detroit. He's still dealing with the mumps. [Newsday] [lohud]

Henrik Lundqvist spoke to the team, specifically the defense, yesterday about inconsistent play and on-ice communication. It isn't yet clear who will be in net for the game tomorrow at Detroit. [NY Post]

Why did the Rangers choose Dan Boyle over Anton Stralman? There were some perceived reasons at the time, such as boosting the effectiveness of the powerplay. And he has had solid success in that role throughout his career. But, as we have discussed here since this summer, the underlying even strength numbers all favored hanging on to Stralman.
