Brooks: Rangers’ Coaching Job is Quinn’s ‘Barring Negotiation Breakdown’
The New York Post’s Larry Brooks reports that Boston University Men’s Hockey Coach David Quinn seems on the path to becoming the New York Rangers’ new head coach.
Told by two sources that Quinn has signaled that he wants the Ranger job and that barring a negotiating breakdown, it's his. Gorton due back Monday from Denmark.

The report comes a day after both Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman and TSN’s Bob McKenzie mentioned Quinn as the focus of the Rangers’ search.
This is a dramatic reversal from a few weeks ago, when Brooks reported that Quinn was telling friends that he would not be leaving BU. Perhaps Quinn had a change of heart, or perhaps the Rangers convinced him to reconsider (with financial incentives or otherwise) following that report.
