Kreider out with upper-body injury, Lindberg in
The Rangers will once again be without one of their most effective and impressive wingers tonight. Chris Kreider is out of the lineup with an unspecified upper-body injury.
OFFICIAL: #NYR Chris Kreider will be out of tonight's game with an upper body injury. Oscar Lindberg will return to the lineup.

Kreider had the primary assist on Derek Stepan’s goal last night skating on a new-look top line for the Blueshirts. Kreider has 11 points in 11 games for the Rangers this season. He is third on the team in shots (despite missing three games) and has averaged 15:56 TOI/G.
This will be Oscar Lindbeg’s fifth game of the season. Thus far he has been kept off the scoreboard. Lindberg had 28 points in 68 appearances with the Rangers last season. With all of the Rangers’ forward depth, he has quickly become the “forgotten man” on the roster.
The Rangers play the Edmonton Oilers tonight at 9:30PM EST. Clearly, they are going to miss their big left winger who just can’t seem to stay healthy early this season.
