Deadline Day Open Thread
The Rangers aren’t expected to be buyers or sellers
Deadline day is here. A day where we all do our best not to get swept up by rumors and/or bamboozled by Twitter trolls.
The New York Rangers aren’t expected to do much after moving Brendan Lemieux to the Los Angeles Kings on Mar. 27 but you never know. Tony DeAngelo — remember him? — still needs a new home, the Rangers could try to sell high on Colin Blackwell, Brendan Smith is a pending UFA, and there is definitely a case to be made to move Ryan Strome and make more room for the kids, especially Filip Chytil.

The market closes at 3 p.m. ET but we all know that deals can be finalized after the horn sounds. Remember the Ryan McDonagh and J.T. Miller blockbuster to Tampa Bay? That was fun. Well, maybe fun isn’t the right word anymore. But it sure was something.
