Dominic Moore's Smashfest IV

Leave it all out on the table.

In every NHL locker-room or recreation room there is a ping-pong table and a lot of guys that have lightning fast reflexes and superlative hand-eye coordination. We've all seen enough in-season documentaries and behind the scenes footage to know that the subculture of ping-pong is prominent in the hockey world.

Tomorrow at 6:30 PM in downtown Toronto at the Steam Whistle Brewery Dominic Moore's Smashfest IV will be kicking off and there will be a lot of great people having a hell of a lot of fun while raising money for two outstanding charities.

If you don't know what Smashfest is, it is a charity ping-pong challenge hosted by Rangers' center Dominic Moore with proceeds going to the Katie Moore Foundation and the Steve Moore Foundation. The event will be studded with current and former NHL stars, including some boys from the 2015-16 New York Rangers. Dominic Moore, Derick Brassard, Emerson Etem, and Kevin Klein will all be showing off their table tennis prowess while raising money for charity. There will also be a plenty of former Rangers attending including Michael Del Zotto, Eric Lindros, Cam Talbot, and John Mitchell.

If you are anywhere in the Toronto area you should make a point to attend the event and get to be part of something very special that does a heck of a lot of good for rare cancer research and concussion research. If you're like me and will be nowhere near Toronto tomorrow, you can follow along with the fun on social media and help spread the word, consider donating to two very worthwhile charities, and enjoy and support Smashfest IV from the comfort of your own home.

Are any of you table tennis prodigies? Is anyone up in that neck of the woods and will be able to attend? Does it feel weird for anyone but me to list Cam Talbot as a former Ranger now? Let me know what you think in the comments, buddies. Also, if you don't like Dominic Moore, please go eat a boot or something.

Hope you're all having a great week. Let's go Rangers, go get 'em Backhand Professor.

Oh, here's a great Dom Moore highlight to get an even bigger smile on your face.
