Duke Going to WJC; Klein's Bloody Ear; Coughing Up Two Goal Leads; Nanne Finding His Offensive Game; Chris Falzone's Amazing Day

Bantering points for Wednesday December 10th, 2014.

Despite coming up with a big win on Monday night against the Penguins, there are still some serious issues with the Rangers defense, power play, and inability to hold onto a lead. Lapses in defensive coverage by both forwards and defensemen have become far too commonplace for the Blueshirts. Coughing up two two goal leads in two games is not the kind of thing we want to see. Kevin Klein has a good sense of humor about nearly losing his ear on Monday night. [@realkevinklein8]

Thus far the Klein for Michael Del Zotto trade certainly looks like it is working out for the Rangers in a big way. [The Hockey Writers]

Is it time for Chris Kreider to see the bench? Chris from Blue Seat Blogs takes a look at what it would mean for Kreider and the Rangers (note: written before Kreider was a scratch due to his neck spasms). [Blue Seat Blogs]

The New York Rangers have loaned Anthony Duclair to Team Canada for the 2015 WJC. What does Duclair's absence mean for the Rangers' bottom six and will the Rangers do anything with the tiny amount of cap space his going to the WJC opens up? [Blueshirt Banter] [NY Post] [Ranger Rants]

Tyler Nanne, the Rangers' 5th round pick in the 2014 NHL Draft is finding his offensive game. Check out Adam's great piece that is full of outstanding prospect .gifs. [Blueshirt Banter]

Carl Hagelin and Derek Stepan were on hand for the announcement of the Big Ten Hockey Conference's agreement with Madison Square Garden. They wore suits and looked adorable. [Big 10]

And, finally, if you haven't read about Chris Falzone's one day contract with the Rangers by now you really should. It is absolutely heartwarming, amazing and tear-jerking. The bravery that some people show, especially at a young age and against such a dreadful thing like cancer, is awe-inspiring. Kevin Klein decided that the real hero from Monday night's overtime win was the newest Ranger. Way to go Chris, keep fighting the good fight. Let's go Rangers.
