Whether we like it or not, the Blueshirts are back in action on a rainy Wednesday night. After capping off a 1-3-0 home stand with an ugly loss to the league-worst Chicago Blackhawks, the Rangers are hoping to find a win in upstate New York as they pay a visit to the Buffalo Sabres.

In what feels like year 47418048452948 of the Sabres' rebuild, Buffalo is once again among the dregs of the NHL. Currently sitting one point ahead of the Montreal Canadiens in the race to stay out of the basement of the Eastern Conference, Buffalo has been sputtering about as much as the Rangers have as of late. Things were looking up as recently as late November when Buffalo swept the three California teams on a road trip and returned home for a stretch of seven out of eight home games. That eight game stretch concludes tonight, and the Sabres are still looking for their first win of the stretch having gone 0-4-3 in their previous seven games. Squaring off with a Rangers team that is 2-8-0 in their last ten, a very movable force with clash with an easily stoppable object tonight.

Player to Watch: Adam Fox

Upstate New York is hosting the boys from Manhattan tonight, so we'll give Long Island some love as well and highlight Jericho's own Adam Fox as the player to watch. Fox has flown under the radar amidst a long list of other under performing players, and while Fox hasn't been bad, he hasn't been the superstar he's been in previous seasons. Fox has racked up 22 assists (which has him on pace to set a career high) thus far, but is still yet to find the back of the net in the 2024-25 campaign. Keep an eye on Fox as the Rangers look to get back in the win column tonight.

Enjoy the game!
