Game #44: New York Rangers vs Vegas Golden Knights Open Thread
After a pair of home wins to bus out of a four game losing streak, the Rangers have hit the road for their annual west coast swing. While the majority of the trip will comprise of teams based in California, Peter Laviolette’s squad will stop in the Sin City and pay a visit to the reigning Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights.
Tonight’s meeting will be one of two between New York and Vegas over the next two weeks, as the Golden Knights will be waiting for the Rangers to return home and will be their first opponent following the road trip on January 26th. For now, the Blueshirts will look to kickstart what looks to be a difficult road trip on the right foot with a victory tonight before worrying about who awaits when they return home next week.
Player to Watch: Chris Kreider
With Kaapo Kakko settling in as the latest line mate alongside Kreider and Mika Zibanejad, Kreider will look to keep up his goal scoring ways in Vegas. Keep en eye on #20 as he looks to help push the Rangers winning streak to three tonight.
Enjoy the game!
