For second consecutive game, the New York Rangers are squaring off with a team that's undergone a major face lift since the previous matchup. It'll be a Metropolitan Division clash at Madison Square Garden tonight as the Blueshirts welcome in Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, and the rest of the Carolina Hurricanes to wrap up this four game homestand.

The Hurricanes have already won the first two games of the season series with victories in November and December, and visitors will look to wrap up that series with some newcomers in town tonight. Carolina revamped it's forward corps late last week in a three team trade with Colorado and Chicago. Martin Necas and Jack Drury have been shipped out, with the dynamic Mikko Rantanen and former MVP Taylor Hall taking their places in the lineup. The Hurricanes dropped their first game following the trade, a 3-2 overtime defeat against the Islanders, on Saturday, and the Rangers will look to make it two defeats in a row for the team from Raleigh.

Player to Watch: Adam Fox

Once upon a time, Adam Fox was a top prospect in the Carolina Hurricanes system. Drafted by Calgary in 2016, Fox spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Harvard as a Calgary prospect before being dealt to Carolina. As Fox's junior year progressed and it became evident he would return for his senior season rather than turn pro as a Hurricane, Carolina dealt him to the Rangers in the spring of 2019. Fox turned pro as a Ranger rather than play out his senior collegiate season, and has been the Blueshirts' best defenseman since entering the NHL. Keep an eye on Fox tonight as New York looks to end its homestand on a high note.

Enjoy the game!
