For the second time in five days, the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins are set to clash in an Original Six matchup. After the Bruins doubled up the Rangers by a 6-3 margin this past Saturday in Boston, this nearly 100 year old rivalry will wrap up its 2024-25 chapter tonight.

With the Rangers having won the first game of this season series (A 2-1 home victory on January 2nd) and Boston taking the second, tonight's winner will win the season series outright. Saturday's game marked the beginning of the J.T. Miller 2.0 era on Broadway, and although the Rangers fell short in that game, Miller made his mark immediately with a pair of goals. Miller notched two assists against Vegas on Sunday, and he'll look to be a difference maker once again tonight.

On the heels of Jonathan Quick's 400th win in New York's previous game, Igor Shestrkin will be back in net tonight. Shesterkin ceded five goals to Boston last time out, so the "franchise" netminder will need to step up his game and do his part in leading the Blueshirts to a win tonight.

Player to Watch: Chris Kreider

The Boxford, MA-native hasn't scored since the Rangers 5-4 OT loss to Montreal on the 19th. It hasn't been the easiest season for many of the team's stars and their longest tenured player has been no exception. With the power play cooking thanks to a pair of goals in their most recent outing against Vegas, keep an eye for a classic Chris Kreider tip-in on the power play to get him rolling again.

Enjoy the game!
