Game Thread: Rangers vs Blue Jackets
The Rangers will play their final home game of the 2018-2019 season
The New York Rangers will close out the home portion of their 2018-2019 schedule tonight as they host the Columbus Blue Jackets at Madison Square Garden.
For New York, Alexandar Georgiev will get the nod in net tonight for the Rangers after backing up Henrik Lundqvist against the Ottawa Senators. Ryan Lindgren, who was recently recalled by the Rangers from Hartford, could also be inserted into the lineup for tonight’s contest.
Coach Quinn said after practice that lineup decisions vs. CBJ have yet to be made but Lindgren has a “great chance” of being in for #NYR.

Tonight’s game has major playoff implications for Columbus as they look to clinch a playoff spot for the third consecutive season. The Blue Jackets are coming off of a 6-2 loss to the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, so the Rangers will likely have their hands full this evening. Alexandre Texier is also expected to make his NHL debut tonight for Columbus after being brought over from Finland, and registering seven points in seven games with the Cleveland Monsters.
Following tonight’s game, the Rangers will have one final game remaining on their schedule, and it will be on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
