Game Thread: Rangers at Senators
The New York Rangers will compete the second half of their home and home against the Senators tonight in Ottawa. The 13-10-2 Rangers defeated the 10-12-3 Senators by a score of 4 – 2 on Monday.
The Rangers are still without Mats Zuccarello, who has been sidelined with a groin injury, and will be without Vlad Namestnikov who sustained a concussion after being hit by Thomas Chabot. Neither joined the team on this road trip.
Since the Rangers have not made a call up, they’ll be rolling with 11 forwards and seven defensemen tonight — which means Fredrik Claesson is back in against his former team and all seven healthy defenders that have been rotating through the lineup these last few weeks will play. Head coach David Quinn noted that it may not be a rotation of seven backs through the pairs though, and that one could slot up to the wing tonight.
Rangers are going with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen. DQ said we may see one of the D playing up on a wing, but he wouldn't identify which D that would be. It's not DeAngelo, however. Also, Lundqvist is in goal tonight.

It net it’ll be Henrik Lundqvist against Craig Anderson.
