Girardi out for Game Four
The Rangers' veteran defenseman sits another game, maybe more.
Dan Girardi will not be in the lineup when the Rangers take on the Penguins in game four of their first round series. Despite being on the ice at the team's optional skate two days in a row, Vigneault said he will not dress in game four and possibly the remainder of the series.

Many have been torn by the play of Girardi and whether he is needed by his team moving forward. It can be speculated that with the emergence of rookie Brady Skjei and the return of the Rangers' captain Ryan McDonagh, Vigneault is hesitant to replace any of his current six.
