Hartford Wolf Pack Sign Three Veterans
The Wolf Pack begin their restructuring with three veteran signings
John Davidson laid down the edict to rebuild the Hartford Wolf Pack and assistant GM Chris Drury took a step in that path today with the signing of three AHL veterans; forward Harry Zolnierczyck, defenseman Vincent LoVerde, and goaltender Tom McCollum.
Zolnierczyck is a 31 year old left handed shooting winger that has bounced around both the NHL and AHL. Most recently spending time with the Springfield Thunderbirds, Florida’s affiliate, where he put up 15-36-51 in 71 AHL games. Zolnierczyck’s last taste of NHL action came with the Nashville Predators in 2016-17 when he had 2-2-4 in 24 NHL appearances.
Vincent LoVerde is a 30 year old right shot career AHL defenseman. LoVerde has bounced around the AHL, most recently completing a tour of duty with the Toronto Marlies where he put up 3-8-11 in 68 games. With the influx of young defensemen, LoVerde will look to be a stabilizing presence up in Connecticut.
Finally, goalie Tom McCollum is the youngest of the three signings at 29 years old. McCollum has spent his entire professional career bouncing around the Detroit Red Wings and Nashville Predators systems. Last year for the Milwaukee Admirals, McCollum appeared in 34 games where he put up a 2.72 GAA and a .889 sav%.
