Miller won silver with Team USA at the 2019 WJC where he earned an assist in six games of action. Since the Rangers selected Miller with the 22nd pick of the 2018 Draft his stock as a prospect has been soaring. He had an outstanding freshman season at the University of Wisconsin, scoring 22 points in 26 games and has 11 points in 18 games — six of which are goals — in his freshman season.
Jones, the 68th pick of the 2019 Draft, has had a breakout year at UMass-Amherst. The 5-foot-10 defenseman has 11 points in his first 16 games of NCAA hockey after putting up 52 points in 56 games in the USHL with the Tri-City Storm in 2018-19.
USA Hockey expects to name its final 23-player roster for the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship by Dec. 24. You can look at the full roster by clicking here. The U.S. team’s first preliminary game of the tournament arrives on Dec. 26 against Team Canada. It will be broadcast on NHL Network.
