Kenny Albert to Replace Sam Rosen As Rangers TV Play-By-Play Broadcaster
Albert, who has been the Rangers radio broadcaster since 1995, will succeed Sam Rosen, who is retiring after 40 years in the booth.

Kenny Albert will be replacing Sam Rosen as the Rangers play-by-play announcer for next season, according to a report from Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
Albert is currently an announcer for the Rangers on the radio alongside Dave Maloney, and has been on MSG Radio since the 1995-96 NHL Season. Albert is also an announcer for NHL on TNT, MSG Networks, and FOX Sports, calling NHL games for Fox from 1995-1999 and currently multiple sports for the same network. Kenny has been announcing hockey for many years, calling NHL on NBC since 2012 and hockey at the olympics during the 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018 games, per his bio on Fox Sports.

Joe Michelletti will return to the broadcast crew and Alex Faust will fill in for Albert when he’s unavailable. https://t.co/pQ7a6bpksM via @nypostsports
Sam Rosen's longtime career as the voice of the Rangers has been celebrated this year as he prepares for his final game at the end of this season. While it seemed difficult to imagine a new voice for the Rangers on TV, Kenny Albert will certainly be able to fill Sam's shoes as his voice is already familiar with so many fans and currently does NHL games on national TV. Joe Michelletti will remain on the broadcast and Alex Faust has been named Albert's replacement for games he is unavailable.
