Kevin Hayes, Stamkos, Killorn each fined $5,000
Imagine how crazy things would have been if water balloons were involved.
Last night we saw Kevin Hayes take part in what turned out to be a very expensive water gun fight.
New York Rangers’ Kevin Hayes has been fined $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct during last night’s game with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Just to be clear here: spraying someone with water is just as naughty to the Department of Player Safety’s eyes as whacking someone with a stick. Alex Killorn must have hated Slip ‘N Slides as a kid.

Tampa Bay captain Steven Stamkos also got involved in the Super Soaker hijinks. Of course, earlier in the game he broke his stick over Brady Skjei’s back and no call was made. But this is what he gets fined for.
