New York Rangers at New Jersey Devils: Open Game Thread
Rangers need to keep their foot on the throttle tonight, and not give the Devils any reason to think they can win this game. The Scouts Rockies Devils have lost five in a row, and are by far the worst team in hockey. Tonight needs to be a "take care of business" night for the Blueshirts.
Big Boy is expected to be in goal for the Devils, and of course, Henrik Lundqvist for the Rangers. Lundqvist is 20-7-5 with a 1.83 goals against average and five shutouts in 32 career games against the Devils. Brodeur is 42-24-20 with a 2.10 GAA lifetime against the Rangers.
Rangers have defeated the Devils in both games the two teams have played this season, with the Rangers winning 3-1 at MSG, and 3-0 at MSG West in Newark.
