Chris Kreider Will Represent Rangers in NHL Player Gaming Challenge
With the lack of hockey, or sports coverage in general during these tough times, the National Hockey League is hoping to fill the void with their newly announced NHL Player Gaming Challenge. All 31 NHL clubs (including the newly approved Seattle franchise) will be represented in a single-elimination tournament by one or two players from their respective teams.

Chris Kreider will be the lone representative for the New York Rangers, while Seattle Seahawks tight end Luke Willson will represent the unnamed Seattle franchise.
The NHL Player Gaming Challenge will commence on April 30, and span over the course of four weeks with weekly matchups being streamed on the NHL’s social platforms (Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and NHL.com). Los Angeles Kings play-by-player announcer, Alex Faust, will host the series of weekly matchups which will be released every Thursday and Saturday. The first series of games, including the Calgary Flames vs. Ottawa Senators and the Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Winnipeg Jets will air on NBC Sports starting at 5 p.m. ET.
In addition, the NHL and Electronic Arts will donate a combined $100,000 towards COVID-19 relief efforts.
