New York Rangers Game Thread: 10/25, Rangers at Habs

The Rangers go for four in a row!

Game Eight, the Rangers at the Montreal Canadiens

4-3-0

Rangers vs Canadiens coverage | NYR roster | Eyes On The Prize

The Rangers have won their last three games and they're looking to make it four in a row tonight on the road against P.K. Subban, Carey Price, and the Montreal Canadiens. It feels good to watch this team start winning games, especially with Dan Boyle and Derek Stepan out of the lineup. The Rangers got some great play out of Chris Kreider (minus the two costly minors), Chris Mueller, and Ryan McDonagh against the New Jersey Devils. All three of those players were involved in the Rangers' first two power play goals of the season. Tuesday's win over the Devils is the kind of win that a team can really build on, if nothing else here's hoping that it gives the Blueshirts some confidence in their power play and their ability to come back despite trailing by two goals in the third period.

Oh, and Rick Nash is a monster. An absolute monster.

Mike's Player to Watch: Kevin Hayes

In Hayes' last two games he has a goal and an assist and his assist came against the Devils on a game-tying goal scored by Rick Nash. When Derek Stepan went down with his injury, Rangers fans were already throwing computers and small animals out of windows and trying to start riots, but Kevin Hayes has been a revelation playing in the top six as a center. Sure, he has some work to do on faceoffs and on the defensive side of the game, but Hayes is patient and dynamic with the puck and looks like he has what it takes to be a true playmaker. Look for him to have a big game tonight against the Habs.

Let's go Rangers! Enjoy the game and the thread!
