New York Rangers Notebook: 4.30.09
Well fans, it is breakup day for the Rangers, here are a few notes on their last day together until September:
Newsday has John Tortorella's exit interview.
I notice he questioned the conditioning of the team, which has been an issue of his since he took over. I've heard that Tortorella's training camps are brutal, the Rangers better be ready.
Torts also has some thoughts on his suspension, and what it did to the team and to the organization.
Rick Carp at the Rangers Report has a few other quotes from the coach, Torts knows a lot of changes need to be made.
Michael Obernauer at the Daily News talks about how the Rangers will need to find inexpensive help.
From Andrew Gross at the Record, 5 Questions for the Rangers.
Larry Brooks at the NY Post says the Rangers need to go out and get Martin St.Louis
You guys know I love Mike over at Ranger Pundit, and one of these days I'm going to drag him in here to share his wisdom, but for now he puts it best when he says "We truly are a 2-1 hockey team"
Carp also caught some of the guys on their way out the door. Interesting to hear Dubi also question the conditioning of the team.
Don't forget to check out Joe's 2nd round predictions and join the contest.
