Following a shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night, the New York Rangers will welcome their crosstown rivals to Madison Square Garden. The Islanders have been on a steady decline since the end of November, and continue to do so as we start nearing the end of December. For the Rangers, they only have one win in during their last six games at Madison Square Garden.
Henrik Lundqvist will be making his eight straight appearance for the Rangers, while Evgeni Nabokov will be getting the start for the Islanders.

Carl Hagelin was everywhere last game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and even came away with a goal to give the Rangers a chance at a comeback. He's finally be moved back up into the top-six tonight, and it will be interesting to see what he can do.
