New York Rangers Open Thread: Rangers Vs. Sabres

New York Rangers vs Buffalo Sabres open game thread.

The New York Rangers will faceoff against the Buffalo Sabres tonight at Madison Square Garden, which will mark the first game of their four game home stand. The Sabres, who are now without Thomas Vanek, have been exceptionally bad to start the year, and have continued to free fall. As for the Rangers, they have begun to dig themselves out the early season failures, and are finally playing decent hockey.

Tonight's game will give the Rangers a chance to build off their recent success, and keep it rolling throughout the next four games. Dominic Moore will be scratched from the lineup tonight, as he was injured late in the first period against the New York Islanders.

Henrik Lundqvist will get the start for the Rangers, while Ryan Miller will battle it out at the other end.

Player To Watch:

Derek Stepan

While Stepan still hasn't scored goal this season, he is quietly second on the team in points with seven assists. He has been playing very well over the last two or three games, and is looking to break out. What better way than doing it tonight on home ice?
