New York Rangers pick Brody Lamb 104th overall
The Rangers take a forward committed to the University of Minnesota
With their fourth pick of the 2021 NHL Draft, the New York Rangers select forward Brody Lamb, who is headed to the University of Minnesota, 104th overall. This pick marks the first of three selections the Blueshirts have in the fourth round — unless, of course, something changes. This pick originally belonged to the Los Angeles Kings and was acquired by the Rangers in exchange for Brendan Lemieux on March 27, 2021.

The core of Lamb’s effectiveness is his shooting ability and passing skill. He explodes through his shot, transferring his weight over the puck before rolling his wrists through the release. Although he looks to shoot more than pass, he’s an efficient playmaker who finds teammates on the weak side, draws in pressure, and uses hook and slip passes to connect.

Lamb played for the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL and was taken 49th overall by the Gamblers in the 2019 Futures Draft. The biggest note to take away on Lamb is that he scored 52 goals in 24 games for the Dodge City Wildcats in Minnesota high school hockey.
Lamb, 17, was born on August 30, 2003. He’s listed at 6-foot and has a right-handed shot. He was ranked 178th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting.

Just destroyed the high school circuit this year and off to the University of Minnesota but not until 2022-23. He'll hang out with Green Bay of the USHL next year.
