Di Giuseppe, 26, has appeared in 31 games this season for the Hartford Wolf Pack and registered nine goals, eight assists, and 17 total points. He also added a goal last night in Hartford’s 3-0 win over the Providence Bruins and earned second star honors.
With Kaapo Kakko still nursing a foot injury and Filip Chytil taking a tough hit in today’s game, it likely means one of those two will remain questionable for tomorrow’s contest. While David Quinn confirmed that Chytil should be fine after the game, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Rangers to err on the side caution with their young, emerging forward.
The quick turnaround time certainly makes things a bit more difficult for the Rangers given the recent string of injuries, so Di Giuseppe gives the Rangers some extra insurance up front.
