The team is currently without a lot of roster regulars due to injury, and during a press conference this morning, President and General Manager Chris Drury announced Pavel Buchnevich has a hearing and Julien Gauthier is done for the season and there is another player also battling an injury.
House-keeping, but Buchnevich could be suspended, Gauthier is out for the remaining two games, and another player is banged up, hence the call-ups of Brodzinski, Gettinger and Richards for tonight's game. #NYR

As for the callups, Tim Gettinger posted a line of 9-10-19 in 23 games, Brodzinski posted a line of 6-11-17 in 14 games, and Justin Richards went 4-7-11 in 20 games. It was interesting that Ty Ronning (10-8-18 in 17 GP) didn’t get a callup, but this could more or less an opportunity to see how the above fare in a bottom-six role. There’s bound to be some opportunities to retool the bottom of the lineup from within, and each represents a viable option.
The Rangers play Boston at 7:00 tonight, and close out the season on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
