With Gettinger and Huska signed, the only pending RFA from the Hartford Wolf Pack’s 2020-21 roster is Ty Ronning, who received a qualifying offer on July 26. Per CapFriendly, the other RFAs in the Rangers organization are Igor Shesterkin and Libor Hajek — but we need to mention that we’re expecting Igor’s new contract to be made public soon.
Gettinger, 23, had 19 points in 23 games last season and was the Wolf Pack’s second-most important forward, after rookie Morgan Barron. He has done everything he needs to do to earn another chance to prove himself in training camp but all signs point to him being a key forward for the Wolf Pack in 2021-22.

Huska, 24, had a rough 2020-21 season. He finished the AHL season with a .890 Sv% but had a record of 9-4-0. While representing Slovakia at the 2021 Worlds, Huska posted a .855 Sv% and was credited with two losses. The 184th pick (7th round) of the 2015 Draft, Huska will have a lot of eyes on him next season. It’s up to him to prove that he has the goods and the consistency to be a pro at the AHL level.
