Ryder Korczak-NYR is a volume creator with above-average passing, shooting, and handling skills. Still figuring out how to weaponize pressure and play in contact. Defence improved a ton. Solid upside bet at this stage. pic.twitter.com/i2t70QZjd2

Korczak was ranked 69th by Elite Prospects, 75th by Bob McKenzie, 65th by FC Hockey, and 39th by McKeen’s Hockey. He was also 34th by NHL Central Scouting among North American skaters.
The Rangers’ newest prospect stands 5’10” and is 159 pounds, and described by Elite Prospects like this.
Puck-handling is Korczak’s defining skill, using a combination of herky-jerky movement, deception, and pace to beat defenders. On the power play, his deception reaches another level, threatening shots to set up cross-slot feeds. And the shot’s dangerous, too. He changes the angle on his shots, and occasionally rifles a curl-and-drag wrister around a defender.
Korczak tallied 16 points in 17 games this season (3-13-16), and the year prior finished with 18 goals, 49 assists, and 67 points in 62 games.
