As it stands there have been no further details released on Ryan Strome’s status or whether he is expected to be out for any additional games. This is tough news for a team that has sputtered out of the gate, especially offensively, but there are positives that can be taken out of the situation. Since you can expect Greg McKegg to be in the bottom six, he’d have a ripple effect on the rest of the roster which involves bumping another center up in the lineup.
This could give Filip Chytil an extended shot on the second line. The former 21st overall pick has shown flashes of dominant play and brilliance but for some reason or another, usually injury, has been side tracked.
We’ll learn more as the next few days unfold regarding how the team responds to losing their second line center and the status of Strome.
