Meskanen, 22 from 🇫🇮, skated in 48 games with Ilves in Liiga this past season, registering 24 goals and 20 assists for 44 points.

Meskanen, most recently with Ilves in Liiga (the Finnish pro league) where he went 24-20-44 in 48 Liiga games this year. With players like this, it’s a good idea to look at their growth levels in the league as they’ve aged into it. Meskanen had 13 points in 39 games two years ago, 20 points in 44 games last year, and finally 44 in 48 this year.
Throughout his entire career in Finland he’s been a quality goal scorer, including a 30-32-62 in 35 Jr. A SM-Liiga games when he was 19.
When Alex Nunn had a better scouting report I will add it here. Update: Here it is:
No reason not to like the Meskanen signing. He's another soft-handed winger with a good shot who knows how to find those dangerous spots on the ice. #NYR
