Noah Laba Taking First Steps in Pro Hockey with Wolf Pack
The 2022 4th-round draft pick is getting his first taste of pro hockey in the Connecticut capital.

Now that the trade deadline has come and gone, we're into a new "season" of hockey in the AHL - ELC season. As players wrap up their college, juniors, and overseas careers, they ink entry-level contracts with NHL clubs, often accompanied by an amateur tryout contract with said club's AHL affiliate.
The Rangers had their first prospect sign an ELC a week ago, when forward Noah Laba inked a two-year agreement. Laba also latched on with the Hartford Wolf Pack on an ATO.
After a pair of seasons with the USHL's Lincoln Stars, the Rangers selected Laba in the 4th round (#111) in 2022. From there, Laba attended Colorado College, where he played three seasons for the Tigers. Three strong campaigns in Colorado Springs led Laba to finally signing his first professional contract.
"Obviously, getting here a couple days ago, it’s kind of a whirlwind," Laba told me after his AHL debut on Friday night. "But the guys are great here, super welcoming, great group of guys. Super happy to be here."

Speaking of said debut, it was quite a memorable one for Laba.
