The Rangers officially announce the signing of the former Wisconsin Badger.
As we reported last week here at the Banter, K’Andre Miller signed his ELC after he finished the 2019-20 season with the Wisconsin Badgers. Today, the Rangers made the signing official.

The Rangers selected K’Andre with the 22nd overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft after trading up in the draft to nab the big left-handed defenseman.

2018 22nd overall pick
3 year ELC starting in 2020-21
$925,000 cap hit / $1,275,000 AAV
$832,500 Base + $92,500 SB in all 3 seasons.
+ Schedule 'A' Bonus breakdown:
2020-21: $300,000
2021-22: $350,000
2022-23: $400,000https://t.co/axtb6szMj9 pic.twitter.com/WekRQSuIt9
The key part of this is that the contract begins at the start of the 2020-21 season. Should the NHL and AHL get back up and running this season, Miller will probably sign an ATO so that he can get some reps with the Wolf Pack and play in the AHL playoffs.
