Open Thread: Game 3 of Stanley Cup Final Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Dallas Stars

Through two games of the Stanley Cup Final, we have a deadlocked series between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Dallas Stars. Tampa Bay was able to even up the series on Monday with a 3-2 win in Game 2, and they will look to do more of the same this evening. As for Dallas, they will look to be a little more disciplined in Game 3 after giving up two power play goals in the previous game.

Steven Stamkos is still a question mark heading into tonight, and head coach Jon Cooper tabbed the center as “inching closer” to a return. Tampa Bay likely won’t tip their hand on Stamkos’ eventual return, so it will be a game-by-game thing until he finally suits up. But by the sounds of it, it’s only a matter of time before he eventually returns to the ice.
