Rangers Announce Final Cuts
The Rangers Finalize the Roster before the season kicks off
With the preseason over, the Rangers needed to finalize the roster and there were still some spots to be determined. Now, it looks like those spots were solidified as the Rangers announced their final round of cuts.
OFFICIAL: #NYR reduce roster to 22 players. Chytil, Kravtsov, Lettieri, Lindgren & Shesterkin have been assigned to @WolfPackAHL. Nieves will be placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment. Reunanen has been loaned to Lukko in Liiga. Morrow has been released from his PTO.

The surprises here might be both Vitali Kravtsov and Filip Chytil getting assigned to Hartford to start the season. Also, according to Rick Carpinello, the Rangers also signed Micheal Haley to a contract.

So the team the Rangers are going to open the season with will include both Brett Howden and Lias Andersson on the roster, along with Greg McKegg and Micheal Haley.
