Rangers Announce Plans for Centennial Celebration in 2025–26
The Rangers have unveiled a centennial logo that combines elements of the franchise's shield over the past 100 years.

Established in 1926, the New York Rangers will be celebrating their 100th season in the National Hockey League throughout the 2025-26 season. The organization has taken the first step in kicking off the festivities by debuting the official centennial logo that captures different elements of the franchise’s 100 year history.

The shield that outlines the logo is specific to the original shield the Rangers had in 1926 whereas many of the colors resemble specific palettes the team pulled their color from in the mid-1900s’.
In addition to debuting the logo, the team has also announced an official website where fans can stay up to date on various programming notes and initiatives that will come in celebrating the milestone that only three other teams in the league have celebrated up to this point.
The Boston Bruins were the most recent team to celebrate this milestone and had a commemorative jersey to go with it. With the new logo, it’s reasonable to expect the Rangers to have yet another new jersey to add to the rotation next season. The Rangers previously celebrated their 85th and 90th anniversaries with patches, center ice logos and an alternate jersey for the 85th year in 2010.
