Rangers Announce Training Camp Roster Updates
As the rainy weather and waivers cleared today we were left with a lot of water and a few updates from our favorite hockey team.
All but one of the players the Rangers placed on waivers yesterday have cleared and were successfully assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Along with these players, the coaching staff also decided to cut Adam Sýkora who joins the above players in Connecticut’s capital city. As for the waiver wire today, the Blueshirts added Jake Leschyshyn to it. Now about that one player missing from this equation, it was announced today the San Jose Sharks have claimed Ty Emberson off of waivers, putting to rest any dreams one may have of seeing a K’Andre Miller and Ty Emberson reunion.
Emberson is a defenseman who was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NHL Draft by the Arizona Coyotes. The Rangers acquired him when they sent Nemeth to the desert last summer. Since turning pro he’s spent all his time in the AHL split between the Tucson Roadrunners and the Hartford Wolf Pack. He has been developing into a steady serviceable option but will now most likely spend the majority of the 2023-24 season with the San Jose Barracuda.
