Rangers assign Nicklas Jensen to Hartford, with Rick Nash ready and Matt Puempel closer

This is obviously good news, as Zipay alludes to above. Rick Nash coming back makes the Rangers much better overall and should help add some offense that has been missing. Matt Puempel, however, might have a hard time finding a spot for himself with Marek Hrivik playing so well. Double that when Mika Zibanejad and Pavel Buchnevich get back in the lineup.
Regardless, as much as I think Jensen could be a quality fourth liner, he didn’t do enough to impress in his time on Broadway. Hrivik was far more noticeable, and is better in his own end. I’m not sure what the future holds for Jensen, but I would be shocked to see him back with the big club this year; there’s simply too many other options in front of him.
Thoughts on this, guys?
