Rangers at Senators - Open Game Thread

The Rangers take on Craig Anderson and the Senators.

The Rangers look to make it 8 in a row with a Saturday matinée game against the Ottawa Senators. The Senators currently sit in second place in the Atlantic division, with a record of 8-5-3.

The Senators have had an up-and-down start to their season. After going 3-1 in their first four games, they dropped their next four straight. They are coming off a 3-2 win against Vancouver on Thursday. To no one's surprise, their leading point getter is Erik Karlsson, with 16 (14 of those coming off assists). Their leading goal scorer is Kyle Turris, with 8. Craig Anderson (6-4-1, 3.12, .907) will get the start in net this afternoon. Here is the Senators' projected lineup:

Mike Hoffman - Kyle Turris - Mark Stone

Matt Puempel - Mika Zibanejad - Bobby Ryan

Milan Michalek - Jean-Gabriel Pageau - Alex Chiasson

Curtis Lazar - Zack Smith - Chris Neil

Marc Methot - Erik Karlsson

Patrick Wiercioch - Cody Ceci

Mark Borowiecki - Chris Wideman

Craig Anderson

Dominic Moore has found his way back into the lineup. After missing the last two games as a healthy scratch, Moore will be back on the fourth line tonight with Jarret Stoll and Jesper Fast. Henrik Lundqvist (9-2-2, 1.76, .946) will get the start for the Rangers in net. Here is the Rangers' projected lineup:

Rick Nash - Derick Brassard - Mats Zuccarello

Chris Kreider - Derek Stepan - J.T. Miller

Oscar Lindberg - Kevin Hayes - Viktor Stalberg

Dominic Moore - Jarret Stoll - Jesper Fast

Ryan McDonagh - Dan Girardi

Marc Staal - Dan Boyle

Keith Yandle - Kevin Klein

Henrik Lundqvist

Despite their record, this Senators team should not be taken lightly. They are a young team with lots of potential, and can stick with any team out there. I'll be closely watching Mats Zuccarello (and the entire Brasharello line) all afternoon to see if he can keep his hot play up.

Let's go Rangers.
