The Minnesota native played seven games with the Hartford Wolf Pack and five games with the Maine Mariners this season — the Rangers’ new ECHL affiliate this year. Last season, Pedrie had 14 points in 58 games for the Wolf Pack. He had 30 points in 38 games at Penn State University in 2016-17.
Hartford’s crowded blue line this year pushed both Pedrie and Sean Day out of the lineup. Pedrie had two goals and two assists in his five games with the Mariners. On Dec. 27, Day and Ryan Gropp were reassigned from Maine to Hartford. But it appears that the Rangers have decided to part ways with Pedrie, who was in the second year of his two-year ELC.
The Rangers initially signed the left-handed blueliner out of Penn State on Mar. 28, 2017. Pedrie had three goals and 19 assists in 74 games with the Wolf Pack over a span of three seasons.
