Schneider, 28, has 8-9-17 in 25 games with the Wolf Pack this year, putting third in points and first in goals for the AHL club. The right winger signed with the Rangers in July of 2017 as a free agent coming out of the Sabres organization, where he spent most of his time with the Rochester Americans.
Cole last saw NHL action with the Sabres during the 2016-17 season, playing 4 games for Buffalo and putting up an assist in those four games.
With the Rangers coming off their bye week and no apparent injuries, this seems to be an interesting move for the team. More on this as it develops.
