Rangers Recall Jake Leschyshyn From Hartford
Guess who’s back… back again? After a rather catastrophic overtime loss to one of the basement dwelling teams in the league standings, the Rangers have decided to welcome back Forward Jake Leschyshyn, who was recalled from Hartford just over two weeks ago. After appearing in one game on the Rangers fourth line, Leschyshyn was returned to Hartford where in two games with the Pack, he added one goal to his existing six point count on the season. (4 goals and 3 assists)
The news comes as a bit of a surprise for a number of reasons. For starters, the Rangers don’t play again for another couple of nights with a back-to-back kicking off at the Garden on Friday Night. On top of that, it doesn’t appear that anyone got hurt in the game against the Sharks and even if they were thinking about taking Nick Bonino (or anyone) back out of the lineup, Tyler Pitlick has returned from injury and by all assumptions, should be good to go as needed.
With the Rangers having the day off as they make their way back from the West Coast, we’ll likely get more of an idea on what may be going on when they get back to work tomorrow morning.
